Lady of leisure 3 days a week!

I'm getting ready for my first official day as a lady of leisure tomorrow. I had my last day of work in Brisbane last week, so now I'm working only 2 days a week in the Gold Coast until the baby arrives. I'm really looking forward to having some time off to get everything ready! My last day of work was great. We had an ice cream sundae party, and these are all of the girls I work with. (Just like being a nurse - there's not many men in this profession :)

Can I really get any bigger??

The baby bump is starting to look fake, it's getting so big :)

These pictures were taken at Jean and Andy's house this week. We got to stay with them 2 nights when we were in Brisbane, and it felt just like old times in Denver. Except for the part when we went for a walk in the evening and as we walked up the street toward Jean's apartment, we nearly stepped on a huge snake (a few feet long) curled up in the middle of the road! If I had been startled any more than I already was, I think Dash would have come early!

Other than that, we had a great time and can't wait until all of the Denver crew are here for Jean and Andy's wedding!

3 more days in Brisbane

I am almost finished with my job in Brisbane until after maternity leave - only 3 more days to go!This picture was taken at our friends' Martin and Susie's house on Tuesday. We have been able to stay overnight with them or the Dixon's (and recently Andy and Jean) on Tuesday nights for over a year now, while I've been working in Brisbane. It has been really great to get to catch up with them every week. I can't believe I have only 3 days left in Brisbane!

Fish 'n' Chips on the beach

I think Colin's favorite part about me being pregnant is that I've started eating fish again, so we get to have fish 'n' chips on the beach :)

Last Saturday was another beautiful day on the Gold Coast, so we went for a walk on the beach and then got some fish 'n' chips and had a little picnic. I think it was probably th best fish 'n' chips I've ever had. And I know I'm not the best judge, because I haven't had much fish 'n' chips, but it was REALLY good :)

Baby likes to dance

I know I've said a few times that the baby is moving a lot more now, but this was hilarious - over the weekend I went to see the movie Mama Mia and whenever there was a song on (which was about 90% of the movie), the baby did not stop moving. It was a dancing machine :)
It is so fun to see how the baby is changing already and becoming more active. Mostly, I think it must just be getting uncomfortable in there, because it really seems like there's no more room left. I can't imagine what it's going to be like 6 weeks from now!

31 weeks

When you put me next to Jean, I look REALLY huge! :)Colin and I got to stay with Jean and Andy last Tuesday, and this Tuesday, Jean and I get to have our first official Girl's Night since she's been back. Up until now, we've always had the boys along, but this week, Colin is going to be travelling for work, and Andy isn't coming down to the Gold Coast until Wednesday. So, Jean and I are not only having a Girl's Night, but we're having a sleep-over too - YAY! :)

Winter in Australia

I have to say, I definitely love winter in Australia. Today is the equivalent of February 3rd in the US, and Colin and I (and Dash) spent most of the day at the beach. We went for a walk this morning and then met up with some friends at a restaurant on the beach for lunch.

While we were eating lunch, all of a sudden, everyone in the restaurant was standing up and looking out the windows (the entire wall of the restaurant along the beach is windows) - there were whales swimming just outside the restaurant! It was amazing!

And, yes, I made Colin take some ridiculous pictures of me to post on my blog :) I know the weekly baby bump pictures are getting a little boring, so I thought I'd try to liven it up a little :)

After lunch we went to another beach for gelato - yum! It really was a perfect day.

Ocean views!

Colin and I had our first prenatal class today and we got to do a tour of the maternity ward. Every single room, including the birthing suites has ocean views. Beautiful ocean views! I wish you all could see :) I'll be sure to take a picture of the view when we're there (they let you stay in the hospital for 4 days with a vaginal birth, so we'll have plenty of time after the baby is born!).

Well, I'm 30 weeks in these pictures and can't believe I still have 10 more weeks of getting bigger. I just can't believe it's possible.
I know I've said this before, but each week we are getting more and more excited. Less than 10 weeks to go!
