Noosa

Susan, one of my best friends from Denver has just moved to Sydney and she was in Noosa for a little vacation, so we all drove up to see her and Glen.

It was soooo good to see Susan and have some Girl Time :) We also (despite the rain) got to take Max to the beach...

He finally outgrew his bassinet and had to start sleeping in his own room the night before he turned 4 months :( It was much sadder for me than it was for him :)We've had lots of great play dates, and here we went out for coffee with Lisa and Charlotte.And Max's best friend has finally arrived - Joseph Bock! Max was very excited to meet him, but had to wait to actually see him until he could come out of the bili lights...

Another visit from Nanny and Poppy

Max was very excited to see Nanny and Poppy when they came to visit a few weekends ago...

It's been so hot, Max has spent a lot of time in just his diaper...But, of course I still like to dress him up too :)And he loves going for walks at the beach, so we do that as much as possible.
And most of the time, we just play at home...

Visit with friends

Soon after we got back from the US, Andy and Jean came down for a visit. So, we packed up and headed for the beach...Emma also came to visit with Alex and Alan and we went to Nobby's Surf Club...
And we had dinner in Broadbeach with Rachel and Jenny from work...
Such a busy social calendar! :)

Max's new cousin

Colin's brother Terry and his fiance Mel had their first baby on Australia Day (the same day as her twin cousins!). Her name is Indiana Grace and we got to visit her 2 days after she was born.And that's when we realized how BIG Max is getting!

Max's first swim

Max also got to go in the pool for the first time on Australia Day. He was a little hesitant at first - the pool is really cold compared to the warm baths he's used to taking! But, I think he started to enjoy it after a minute or two.

Happy Australia Day!

January 26th is Australia Day, so Colin, Max and I celebrated. Of course, Colin had to explain the importance of the day and of the Australian flag to Max...

Just when Colin was thinking Max got it, he showed us what he was really thinking :)

And then it got really sunny, so we had to put on Max's sunglasses (or I just think they're really cute, so I wanted to put them on :)

And of course, Max had some tummy time...

After all that hard work, we walked down to the lake for an ice cream.

Max is already resenting us for the way we dress him up :)

Just when I thought I couldn't be more sad about missing my family and friends in the US (the day after we got back to Australia), Max decided to roll over for the first time. Needless to say, he made my day :) Here is a picture of him just after - he was pretty proud of himself...

Then I quickly got the video camera and he did it 6 more times!

Our time in Denver

Here are the last photos from our trip to the US. We had a great time in Denver. The weather was beautiful most of the time we were there and Colin and I got to take Max for a walk in Wash Park, the park 3 blocks from our house in Denver.

I just love this picture - he LOVED playing on this little playmat at Carrie's house...

We also had a really fun Girls' Night the night before we left - it was a going away party for Susan, who is moving to Australia - YAY! :) The boys came to dinner and then Colin took Max home so I could have a Girls' Night Out with my friends.

Yes, Max is wearing different outfits in theses 2 pictures - that's because he pooped through the entire first outfit halfway through dinner - that's my boy! :)
