Breck - Part II

Once we were back at the top of the mountain, it was time for the alpine slide!  We had to ride a chairlift to get to the top of the slide (much easier without skis/snow boards on!)...

Max was SO excited!...

Finn was too little to go on the alpine slide, but he had fun watching...

We took video of the slide, so I don't have any photos to post of the actual slide.  But, next we moved on to gold panning.  Suprisingly, we didn't find any gold, but we got lots of cool rocks :)

And our last bit of fun was pony rides...

Finn wasn't quite sure about it at first...

But he looked like a pro in no time...

It was such a fun day for everyone!  And we even got a decent family pic at the end of it! :)

Beautiful Breckenridge

Although we haven't made it to Breckenridge to ski since we've been back, we do love to visit Breckenridge in the summer with the boys.  We took a day trip when Nanny and Poppy were here and we had so much fun, I'll have to do 2 different posts to get all of the pictures in.

In summer, you get to ride the gondola for free, so that was the first thing we did.

Nanny and Finn were a little weary of the gondola at first, but enjoyed it by the end of the ride...

At the top of the gondola, there's tons of activities to do, so we let Max choose the first...

 I think Finn was yelling "Miss it!  Noonan!" in the back :)

We went into town for lunch and had yummy crepes.  Finn loved them so much he couldn't get enough in his mouth at one time...

Even picky Max was happy with the choice...

Before we headed back up the gondola, we stopped at the playground...

I love this picture.  Sometimes they can be so sweet :)

We had lots more fun at the top of the gondola - alpine slide, pony rides, gold panning - more pictures to come soon!

Looking for wildlife

We all really wanted to see a moose, so we went to the only place Colin and I have ever seen a moose in the wild - Grand Lake.  We did the same hike where Colin and I once spotted a moose, but we didn't find any this time.

We still had lots of fun hiking and throwing rocks in the lake...

On the way home, we stopped at Estes Park where we did get to see lots of elk ...

On the farm

Nanny and Poppy felt right at home when we got to visit all of the animals at the ranch - they all got to feed and pet baby lambs, goats and a calf...

Max was very excited to hear that Nanny and Poppy have 3 new baby lambs on their farm right now.  Hopefully there will be some little ones shen we come for our visit!

We couldn't go to the mountains without introducing Nanny and Poppy to one of the best things about camping....S'MORES!

Max's future career

When we stayed at Snow Mountain Ranch, they had lots of family activities, and Colin could not be more pleased that Max's favorite was mini-golf.  Max asked several times a day if we could go play -  I'm sure Colin will have him out on a real course in no time :)

Finn even liked playing.  And by "playing," I mean chasing and grabbing everyone elses' ball after they hit it :)
