January was a pretty quiet month, and it rained just about every single day, so we don't have any fun pictures to show. We did have a 3 day weekend for Australia Day, which was January 26th, so that was nice. Colin and I went to the Sunshine Coast (which is about 3 hours north of our house) and went to some really good markets and then spent the day at the beach. Luckily, that was one of the days that wasn't raining! Then, the next day we went to Mullumbimby to see the twins for their first birthday.
These aren't very good pictures, but it's me and Lilly on the left and me and Macey on the right.

The end of January gave us some pretty nice weekends, so we got to spend lots of time at the beach. Sorry for all of you who are sitting in the freezing cold and snow!

Bath time!

I just had to put these pictures on my blog because they are so cute - they make me smile every time I look at them.

The bath was actually when they were here for Colin's birthday, but I thought they deserved their own post :)

Colin's 35th Birthday!

It's official - Colin is closer in age to 40 than he is to 30 :)

And I am also very behind in my blogging. Colin's birthday was almost 2 months ago and I'm finally just blogging about it. I'll try to catch up tonight. Colin's birthday was actually very nice. We spent the afternoon with his brother Brett, Kelly and the twins, and then his other brother Terry and Mel joined us all for dinner. It was a really nice day.

This is Colin and Lilly getting ready to have some of Colin's birthday pavlova...
And all of the boys with the girls :)

Happy New Year!

This year was our second New Year's Eve in Australia, and I definitely like having warm weather for NYE. We went to a party at our friends' house (Ben and Mel), and sat outside all night. The live on a little lake, so it was beautiful. It was actually a pretty quiet night (compared to staying out at the casino last year until 8am on New Year's Day!). But, we had a great time and we happily celebrated Colin's birthday at midnight!

Boxing Day

I know Boxing Day was over a month ago, I'm just a little slow on the blogging. Boxing Day is the day after Christmas, and it is a public holiday in Australia. So, since there's only 3 working days between Christmas and New Year's, pretty much everything closes for the whole week, including my work. So, not only did I just have 2 1/2 weeks off in November, now I got another whole week off - YAY!

We spent the night at Colin's parents' house on Christmas, and then did what EVERYONE in Muillumbimby does on Boxing Day - went to the pub. Brett and Kelly got the grandparents to babysit, so the 4 of us got to go to the pub all afternoon and evening. It was really fun, and I think I met everybody in Colin's high school graduating class :)
