We are all very excited that they have turned on the water fountains in our town center. I've been there twice with the boys already, and on Thursday we met our friends Jenn and Olivia there. Here's a few pics from their lunch break...
And a video of their favorite thing to do in the fountains...SPLASH!

Veggie patch
At Max's school they have a little garden, and he loves watching things grow in it. So, I decided it's time for us to have a veggie garden at home. Colin built us a little planter box and the boys and I had a blast planting our garden...
Max actually did really good helping dig the holes and putting the plants in them...
And Finn did really good pulling/digging them back out :)
Max was very excited about everything we decided to plant. He loves to smell the basil...
And can't wait to eat the strawberries...
We also planted 2 kinds of tomatoes, cucumbers, red bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots.

Now we get to have fun watering them all summer!

Touch-A-Truck
Today we went to Touch-A-Truck - a fundraiser for one of the local grade schools where they have all sorts of huge trucks for kids to look at, play with and climb on. They had construction trucks, a fire truck, ambulance, tow truck, limo, bus, SWAT and lots more. The highlight was a Black Hawk helicopter that the National Guard actually flew in. Needless to say, the boys LOVED it!
Although, Max was very dissatisfied that none of the trucks were actually moving when he was driving them.
They both loved the fire truck - and the fun "toys" that the firemen taught them how to use...
With so many of these in our neighborhood, it was great for them to see just how big the loaders actually are...
And we saved the best for last - the Black Hawk helicopter...
Finn was ready to go, but just a little worried about who the pilot was going to be...

Derby party
It's not very often that we get a decent picture of me and the boys, but we did get this one on our way to a Derby Party last weekend...
Some day we'll get them both to look at the same time. As far as smiles go, I won't hold out for that one ;)

Children's Museum
Whenever we have yucky weather day, the boys are happy to go to the Children's Museum. Now that Finn is getting a little older, we can go to the "little kid" area and the "big kid" area, so now everyone is happy :)
Although, Max is still pretty happy in the little kid area. For example, he loves tackling the giant bears...
And Finn is excited to explore anything and everything...
The favorite part of the big kid area is, of course, bubbles! Here's Max inside the giant bubble he's making...
We need to start saving this part for last, because by the time we're done, both boys are usually soaked with bubbles. We can't wait for the big new water exhibit that starts this summer!

Haircuts and Fro-Yo
The boys were treated to their favorite frozen yogurt after their recent haircuts...
After devouring the frozen yogurt they had fun dancing to the music playing in the outdoor mall. I did get them to sit still for one last picture...
We also recently had 6 days without Daddy while he was in Europe for work, so we kept busy with lots of fun things. One of our favorites was a Kite Festival...
The boys had a blast watching all of the kites, dancing to the local high school band's music, and eating a delicious picnic lunch.

I was pretty proud of myself for taking both of them on my own and actually not losing one of them ;) Believe me, it is not an easy feat with these two boys. Luckily they were both on their best behavior. I'm a very lucky momma to have such wonderful boys.
